<p>Connor and I actually had been going to school together for awhile before we even knew each other existed! I got myself a part time job at the local grocery store in our little hometown of Parkersburg, Iowa. He worked there off and on through the school year because he was a year round athlete. He was the team captain of the wrestling team and he did football in the fall. We were in two very different groups in high school which is why we never crossed paths much. When I started working at the store, his mom, Alesha, was my manager. She quickly became the person I could come too and we talked often. She truly was my adopted mom long before I fell in love with Connor. One night, he came into the store with his best friend, and best man, Jesse. He was in that letterman jacket that was covered in all his achievements. They weren't there for long, but I noticed him no matter how hard he tried to stay in the shadow. He was never really a talker and came off quite shy. I, being the social butterfly I was, was the complete opposite. I remember talking to his mom one night while we were working and she mentioned he was looking for a date to go to prom with. I volunteered that if he was interested, I would love to be his date. Shortly after, she gave me his Snapchat, and we began talking shortly after. We soon realized that we both shared a love for professional wrestling. our first date ever was at his house watching WrestleMania 39. We were inseparable after that. We went to our first prom together on April 22nd, and by April 23rd, we were official. We were there for all the big accomplishments of each other. From graduating high school, to watching him graduate from his first two years at Ellsworth Community College, we were by each others side. On July 4th of 2025 we went to go see the annual fireworks in Waverly, Iowa. Both of our families went together and looking back on it now, I don't know how I couldn't have known. After the big finale of fireworks I realized that there were phone flashlights all centered on me. I thought they were turned on for us to see, as it was quite dark, but I soon realized that that wasn't the case at all. I turned to see Connor on one knee. You think you know when it's going to happen, but you never truly do. We can't wait to celebrate such a big moment with all of you on October 23rd next year! Who knew that your mom giving me your Snapchat would have blessed me with this life that I had only ever dreamed of? Thanks, Momma A ;)</p>
